Like pretty much everyone else, I came into college not knowing what to expect out of my classes, clubs, or even my major, but through ASBME, I have learned so much and have been able to orient myself at USC. The first official ASBME event I attended was the BIOMED symposium, and I was able to have discussions with different professors and PhD students, all while eating good food! Through BIOMED and other ASBME events, whether they be profession-oriented or social, I have learned about the field of Biomedical Engineering and have been given the resources to explore the path that I want to pursue in the future. The community and mentorship of ASBME is one of a kind and I am so glad to be a part of it as a Freshman representative!
