ASBME is a student-run biomedical engineering organization at USC that serves the engineering student body through academic, social, and professional events. Our mission is to build a supportive community where students can thrive in their chosen field and explore the vast opportunities that being a BME major offers.

 

This year, our motto is ASBME: Innovate, Inspire, Impact. As the biomedical engineering field rapidly evolves, ASBME is dedicated to helping students stay ahead and explore their passions in the field. Through our technical workshops, we innovate by equipping students with essential industry skills like programming, CAD, and data science, empowering them to succeed in the evolving field of biomedical engineering.

 

Our Makeathon Jr. event allows us to inspire the next generation by connecting with local high school students in the LA community. In this event, students collaborate to solve real-world biomedical challenges, fostering creativity, teamwork, and a passion for engineering.

 

Finally, we aim to encourage our members to create a positive impact in BME, becoming leaders who drive positive change. Through company info sessions and networking events, students gain insights into industry pathways and develop the connections needed to make a lasting impact in the biomedical field and beyond. Additionally, we lead a Health Fair in which members can apply their skills in real-world healthcare settings, making a tangible difference and impact in the LA community.
