MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Meet ASBME's member of the month for October!

Ashley Dunning

Year: Junior

Major: Biomedical Engineering

Fun fact: I am a die hard Chicago Bears fan

Favorite ASBME memory: My favorite memory has to be my first experience at ASBME when I did not know a soul in the club. I was just a freshman and so nervous going into it, but when I got there, everyone was so welcoming and excited that we were there. It was a super chill meeting, and we ate pizza and all talked and got to know each other. Some of the people I met in that first meeting are my best friends to this day!

Other involvement: I am also Involved in Women in youth Supporting Each other (WYSE), Viterbi Conversations in Ethics Podcast Team, and USC Graduate Student Government Finance Team

Plans for the future: My hopes for the future include starting my own business where I can combine everything I love into an amazing product. I want to combine my love for sports and biomedical engineering to create a biotech product that protects athlete's mental health and safety. ( I'm still in the process of figuring out the details lol, but it's definitely a dream!)

Do you know someone who is an active member of ASBME who deserves recognition for all of the amazing things they do? Then he or she is a perfect example of a nominee for our "Member of the Month" initiative!
